Wild agree to trade. I hate to lose my #1 pick but I add a top spec that can help me right know with Joel Erickson. I add a defensive player in hjalmarrson seeing I'm hurting at that position. I add another shooter in Boyle. And I add 2 more picks to draft younger players for my team down the road

Yes, Love the way my Edmonton team is scoring this year. With that said, I never shy away from talent and upside. That is what this trade is all about from my perspective.  I am assuming the pick is top 10. That was really secondary for me. This was all about Vrana. I'm a big fan and he is a top 25 prospect right now and can help me this year, but for sure next year and beyond. RW has been the biggest weakness besides G here, and this trade is the one I hope solves this issue.  I wasn't resigning Boyle b/c he has outperformed that deal. I am tight with cap. The cap I save here is great. It will immediately allow me to call up Tkachuk.  This deal leaves me a little short on C, but I still have Cousins scoring a little, and of course the Great Jack Eichel is due back in the next month.

good hockey trade. FNHL Oilers are like the NHL Oil, bursting with talent and ready to dominate the league at anytime in the not too distant future. Lots of great assets going to the Wild. Nice deal boys.

This trade signals Minnesota wants to compete this year. Edmonton has a lot of young talent and appear to be acquiring more high-end potential. The edge goes to the Wild for adding a healthy package of players and draft picks.
