On Fantrax you all have the ability to add free agents to your team. Obviously, after a decade, we're on the honor system as far as that goes. And I've never had cause to be concerned about anyone abusing it. Not that anyone could get away with it here anyway!
But, if you win a FA bid and one of the admins isn't around to add your player - go ahead and do it yourself on Fantrax. Respond to the thread with a contract and all that, then just add the player on Fantrax.
ONE HITCH - you will get whatever contract that player last had. For example - if you went and bid on Gustav Nyquist right now on a minimum $0.9m contract, he would be added to your team at a whopping $5.8m... We fix this manually for every FA, but if adding the player puts you over the cap - then your lineups will not be eligible and you won't accrue points. In that situation you have to wait for an admin.
Our new GM in Edmonton won Corey Perry and added him on Fantrax - that got me thinking why aren't we doing this more often?
