Supplemental Draft  Vote Approval Jan23'17; In-Effect for 2017-18 Season

• 2 Rounds (2 picks per team) annually.
• 12-hour/Pick - Each team will have 12-hours to make a selection.
• Supplemental Draft picks can be traded, forfeit, removed as penalty for an infraction as with Entry Draft picks.
• Forfeit/Time-outs - if a team fails to make a selection in the allotted 12hr timeframe, they forfeit their pick and the next team may make a selection.
• Availability - Supplemental Draft picks are only available for the current season played until the end of the current year's draft after-which the following year's Supplemental Draft picks are unlocked.
• Eligibility - draftees are Free Agents who qualify for MiLR; EXCLUDES 1st year NHL Entry Draft eligible prospects (those prospects must enter the FNHL Entry Draft of the same year).
• Timing - Supplemental Draft will be scheduled in late April annually after the FNHL playoffs.
• Order - FNHL Champion will be inserted in middle of order, FNHL Finalist receives 1st Overall pick followed by top placing playoff teams in descending order, the 2nd half of the order will be comprised of non-playoff teams in descending order with the last place team making the final selection each Round.
• Supplemental Draft selections will be housed on each team's MiLR

I did not notice any mention of a change to farm team roster size in the new rules.

So the farm will remain a maximum of 30 prospects in size?

We will keep the size of MiLR rosters at 30 for the upcoming season and see what's needed after the 2017 FNHL Entry Draft.

Gents, a date change has been made to unlock the 2018 FNHL Supplemental Draft Picks on August 14, 2017 - the same day FNHL Free Agency opens.

The Supplemental Draft will happen start the day after the 2017-18 FNHL Champion is crowned early-mid-April 2018.

These picks are your team's ticket to cherry pick prospects (draft prospect from any year as long as they meet the MiLR eligibility rules of playing less than 82 regular season NHL games) and stash them in your franchise's Minor League system.
