Title: 2013-14 FNHL Stanley Cup FINALS (Mar31 - Apr13)

We started the season with 30 teams.
21 Regular Season weeks.
Over 6 months.
16 Teams entered the Post-season.
3 Rounds of Play-offs over 3 weeks.
We arrive at the Franchise NHL Stanley Cup FINALS!

Over the next 2 weeks, the best teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences will face-off to decide the 2013-14 FNHL Stanley Cup Champion! :win:

Another point to make here is that both of these franchises have paid into the prize pool and are playing for the $75USD payout! :money: :judge:

You crazy free-spending owner you! It's looking like a brilliant move now 2yrs down the line especially light of Goalie extension values jumping at the end of this season with top goalies earning 10m. It was still a decent move back then when you signed that big FA contract given how rarely goalies hit FA.

I think I remember the old Bruins owner let Bishop walk to FA. Chain of events that led up to this matchup is a great story.

Wasn't meant to take anything away from Rip either, he wasn't afraid to spend money and make the moves that made the team championship contenders.

Good-luck to both teams! Well deserved to be sure.

Both owners fine-tuned their rosters to be true contenders that could withstand the surprises that seemingly pop out of nowhere this time of year such as major injuries, veterans getting games off to rest and NHL trades that turn some players from waiver wire pickups to superstars and vice versa.

Looking forward to seeing who gets crowned the Champ this year. I will bet on the Blues taking home that purse.

:iatp: I agree! The real Blues have shaky goaltending from Ryan Miller whereas Ripper's version of the Blues has very impressive netminders.

I think every good owner leaves a positive mark on their franchise. The Bishop signing was great foresight by Jonathan. To be sure, Ripper deciding to trade Halak instead of Bishop at the start of the season helped his team immensely.

I believe a lot of teams in this league are a few moves away from reaching the Final Four. Even the San Jose Sharks who were last year's firesale team at the trade deadline and finished last reached the Final Four this year. :thumbsup:

Both real-life NHL teams :BOS-NHL: and STL-NHL: have clinched a playoff berth. It will be interesting to see how many regulars they rest nightly to preserve them for the post-season and help prevent injury to key players. Both FNHL teams ice their real-life counterpart's goalies in Rask and Bishop. How much rest those goalies get might be the deciding factor in this FNHL Championship match-up!  :judge:

If the finals lasted only 1 wk my Bruins wouldve lost by 6pts to St.louis. Good thng we have another 7 full days to go.  :thumbsup:
