Sekera is likely to be out most of the year, if not all year and he'll be 33 by the time next season starts. I give up a couple of promising specs, including a young goalie I like. So it deal feels like trading a gamble for a gamble.

  I'll give the advantage to Detroit in this one. Sekera can be signed to a minimum deal once this years numbers count. Not much risk on there side, except it appears Sekera is on a downhill slope and can't stay healthy.
