Franchise GM: Clarifications & Discussion / Re: Expansion of minor leagues proposal« on: November 02, 2021, 10:12:29 AM »
With a 40 man major league roster I am with Flash, the expanded minor league roster is unnecessary. Teams can choose how to allocate their 40 man roster with either minor league guys or major league reserves/depth pieces. It seems to be part of the game. Most of the similar league I play in have approximately 60 player rosters and they limit the major league roster to 30. To me, this gives teams greater flexibility to compete how they choose to while also maintaining some decent players in free agency or decent minor league free agents every year.

Franchise GM / Re: FGM Official Trade Block Thread« on: July 22, 2021, 06:03:00 PM »Brewers are re-tooling. Prefer prospects closer to the majors, but also quality over quantity. Will pay on all contracts for this season to improve the prospect. The following are available: Guys listed above in bold are still available. Yelich and Renfroe would cost more. Naquin and Moreland a little less. Yelich doesn't have to leave. He looks like he will be a relatively cheap re-sign. 59

Brewers approve. Scherzer is having a great season but this is the last year of the deal. Even with improvement I am not going to get to the playoffs so we make this move to start retooling. Add Didi to the package to get an increase in the talent coming back. 2 Top 50 prospects and two young guys who are prospect/former prospect guys who hopefully will figure it out.
Happy to get this deal. Thanks for the easy straightforward talks. Good luck. 60

With it looking more difficult to make the playoffs, Brewers try and retool here. Carrasco was not in the long term plans of the team. I pay for the remainder of the contract to pick up two solid prospects having good years in AA. Also take a shot that Beede can figure it out.
