Grabovski, $3.0m (2014-15) = $6m *.66 = $4m buy-out all on this year or $2m this year and next. Even then it would only free up $1m this season, not $1.2m
I think the rounding works against you too.....
Ryan Wilson, $0.8m (2013-14) = $0.8m * .66 = (.528 rounded up) so $0.6m cost equaling a savings of $0.2m
I haven't looked closely but you're hard pressed to make the room. If you are determined to do it though you'll have to amortize both Borque and Grabovski over two years and consider dumping Stewart as he will free up $0.8m on his own. That gets you to $2.2m. Adding in Zidlicky and Giguere at $0.6m each gets you the rest of the way to $3.4m is space.
Also leaves you the option to later re-up Wilson, Harrison, and McElhinney. There are other combinations to try but I think dumping Stewart is key.
