confirms this deal.  I HATE moving Neuvy.  I really think Oates is going to ride whoever is hot in Washington.  Holtby has already struggled a bit early on.  I needed a dman, and Hjalmarsson helps with that.  I also get the stud in Malkin!

So we all know I wont win this year or any year with my goalie situation...I have Hackett in the minors, now Greiss, Neuvirth, Bryz and Ellis, that sounds good but its really depressing, Im praying for a miracle here with my goalies, lol and not feeling the miracle anytime soon but i have to try!!

I agree, but that's how this league is.  There is so much value in goalies, even back ups.

Ya I don't like this deal at all as it is complete risk with not a high chance of a good reward. Malkin one of the top players in the league for a back-up goalie.

I don't think goalies can ever change in this league as it has been that way for years. But this is not a deal that warrants the move of a top player.
