Good-luck to both teams! Well deserved to be sure.

Both owners fine-tuned their rosters to be true contenders that could withstand the surprises that seemingly pop out of nowhere this time of year such as major injuries, veterans getting games off to rest and NHL trades that turn some players from waiver wire pickups to superstars and vice versa.

Looking forward to seeing who gets crowned the Champ this year. I will bet on the Blues taking home that purse.

Congrats to both teams! It's going to be quite the matchup and possibly a preview to the real-life Stanley Cup Finals.

:iatp: I agree! The real Blues have shaky goaltending from Ryan Miller whereas Ripper's version of the Blues has very impressive netminders.

Wasn't meant to take anything away from Rip either, he wasn't afraid to spend money and make the moves that made the team championship contenders.

I think every good owner leaves a positive mark on their franchise. The Bishop signing was great foresight by Jonathan. To be sure, Ripper deciding to trade Halak instead of Bishop at the start of the season helped his team immensely.

I believe a lot of teams in this league are a few moves away from reaching the Final Four. Even the San Jose Sharks who were last year's firesale team at the trade deadline and finished last reached the Final Four this year. :thumbsup:
